Chef Todd English shares a few more details on his new restaurant opening at Virgin Hotels when it debuts in the former Hard Rock Hotel in late fall. The chef teams up with JC Hospitality and CEO Richard Bosworth to open in the former home of 35 Steaks + Martinis.
“The concept is still evolving, but I envision that it will be fun, casual and modern. It will reflect the energy of the property,” English says in a press statement. In February, English said he would revive Todd English’s Olives at Virgin Hotels.
English joins Nobu, MB Steak, Pizza Forte, a coffee bar from Hugh Jackman, and an unnamed Thai restaurant from Los Angeles at Virgin Hotels.
Aside from the restaurant, English plans to open a food hall inside Area15, the entertainment complex opening in May.
Olives, the Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, originally debuted with the Bellagio in October 1998, planned to close in 2013 before a reprieve, and then shuttered for good in 2018 to make way for Wolfgang Puck’s Spago,
