Mandalay Bay plans to close three restaurants temporarily and shortened the hours of a fourth in response to the novel coronavirus as it takes a toll on tourism in the city.
My Vegas game players received a notification that Hubert Keller’s Fleur, Charlie Palmer’s Aureole, and Mizuya, the Japanese restaurant at the resort, temporarily shuttered starting on March 15. Libertine Social, the restaurant from Shawn McClain at the resort, cuts its hours to Thursday through Sunday, based on future restaurant reservation availability. A reader sent the email issued to My Vegas game players, the mobile and Facebook game from MGM Resorts and M life Rewards, to Vital Vegas. The email notes that players who currently have the reward in their wallets for the three restaurants that are temporarily closing will receive a full refund by March 20.
On Wednesday, MGM Resorts announced that its seven buffets planned to temporarily close starting on March 15 in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
That means the Buffet at Aria, Buffet at Bellagio, MGM Grand Buffet, Cravings at the Mirage, Buffet at Luxor, and Buffet at Excalibur close temporarily. “These changes are temporary and will be evaluated on a weekly basis,” MGM Resorts director of media relations Brian Ahern said in a statement.
