Television personality Giada De Laurentiis announced that her restaurants Giada at The Cromwell and Pronto by Giada at Caesars Palace closed effective immediately as a precaution to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

De Laurentiis wrote on Facebook: “As of tonight, GDL Foods will be closing our restaurant doors (Giada, Pronto by Giada & GDL Italian] for the foreseeable future to protect the health and well being of our guests and staff. This is not something my team nor I take lightly, but at this time, we feel it best to follow and respect the guidelines set forth for us. We are using this period to spend time with our families and we hope and pray we can open again soon. Stay safe! XO G”

These mark the first restaurants in the Caesars Entertainment empire to announce they are closing indefinitely.

Earlier, MGM Resorts announced dozens of restaurant closings at its seven Las Vegas resorts, and Wynn Las Vegas announced that it would close on March 17.
