Dutch Bros. reports that an employee who worked at the 3265 S. Rainbow Blvd. location of the coffee shop tested positive for COVID-19 on April 10.
The unidentified employee worked at the location on March 18-21, 24, and 27-29 and started showing symptoms on the final day of work on March 31. Employees who came in contact are in self-isolation and receiving paid leave, Dutch Bros. reports on its website.
The coffee shop reports the location went through a deep cleaning and worked with public health officials on any additional protocols needed to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Employees now must increase the number of times they wash their hands and sanitize the workplace. Customers are no longer allowed to use personal mugs at the drive-thru and cannot walk up to order coffee. Dutch Bros. also added a cashless payment system and instituted mask policies.
The location at Rainbow Boulevard and Desert Inn Road opened on Feb. 28. The company has 10 locations in Las Vegas.
Customers concerned can send questions to the company at communitywellness@dutchbros.com.
