MGM Resorts Donates 1,000 Meals a Day to Charity

Plus Lawry’s goes online with a murder mystery dinner

MGM RESORTS — Chefs at resorts such as the Bellagio, Aria, and Park MGM are donating 1,000 meals a day to Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada through the end of April. The chefs prepared linguine with meatballs on Tuesday and plan to offer a different menu each day. The company already donated 462,000 meals to various organizations during the coronavirus pandemic. EASTSIDELawry’s The Prime Rib takes its interactive murder mystery dinner online on Thursday, April 30. “Lethal Libations” heads back to the Roaring Twenties with professional actors presenting a story of murder. Diners can order a three-course meal with a Lawry’s salad with vintage dressing served with sourdough bread; choice between the Lawry’s cut prime rib with mashed potatoes, gravy, au jus, and Yorkshire pudding or Skuna Bay salmon served with mashed potatoes and seasonal fresh vegetables; and English trifle. LAS VEGAS — The three Dickey’s Barbecue Pit locations in Las Vegas and one in Henderson now offer a way for customers to donate sandwiches to first responders in their communities with the new First Responder Relief Packs, which include bundles of five or 10 pulled pork classic sandwiches.
