Sin City is home to a lot of restaurants and bars, but there are tons of hidden gems that the majority of Las Vegans aren’t unearthing. To help guide readers to these potential discoveries, Eater Vegas enlisted some of the city’s food players to share their recommendations for a feature dubbed Dining Confidential.
For this edition, Eater Vegas reached out to chefs and restaurateurs to find out where they are ordering takeout and delivery during the coronavirus pandemic.
Marc Marrone, the chef and co-owner behind Graffiti Bao, was ordering the family-style lasagna and salad from Locale Italian Kitchen. “That was great.” Now he’s the consulting chef for the restaurant after Nicole Brisson departed to take a break.
Javier Anaya, co-owner of Pinches Tacos, stops at The Cuppa at The Gramercy every morning for his quadruple iced espresso and ham and cheese croissant.
Bryce Krausman, owner of DW Bistro, has been ordering panang curry and Thai pork jerk with sticky rice from DE Thai Kitchen and Modesto pizza from Metro Pizza. He also recommends buying the dough to take home and make your own pizza.
Chef Rhori Kow, the executive chef of Triple George Grill, which is open for curbside pickup and delivery, loves to order from Pho Kim Long. He’s been eating pho chin, crab Rangoon, salt and pepper wings, and spring rolls. “I love this place!”
Chef Barry S. Dakake, who opens Barry’s Downtown Prime at Circa in December, likes to order takeout from New York Pizza & Pasta on Jones and Sahara. “I enjoy the Sicilian thick crust pizza with pepperoni, black olives, onions, and mushrooms.”
