Mountain West Eatery debuted its breakfast and barbecue dishes along Blue Diamond Road inside a 3,528-square-foot former Goodwill store, close to the intersection with Edmond Street.
The restaurant sits next to Sharky’s Modern Mexican Kitchen with room for 81 customers in the main dining room and a handful inside the separate bar area, where customers can sit at the bar counter, pick songs from the corner jukebox, or play a game of darts. Of course, during the statewide shutdown of dine in restaurants, Mountain West Eatery is offering takeout.
The menu features a Southern-style fish sandwich, smoked baby back ribs, slow smoked and fried Cornish hen, a smoked brisket Caesar salad, and smoked Cajun-style sausage with grits and egg.
The restaurant sits a short distance from Oming’s Kitchen, Mazzoa Donuts, and The Chicken Shack, which all debuted last summer.
Mountain West Eatery, 5110 Blue Diamond Road, 702-844-8313; open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
