Joining the slow, but steady trickle of bold local restaurateurs debuting during the lock-down, Maui Exiles has brought some Aloha spirit to Henderson and will be joined by two more international menus later in the year.
Now open daily at the Sunset Ridge Shopping Center for takeout and curbside pickup from 11 a.m to 8 p.m, Maui Exiles specializes in serving its own spin on Ninth Island favorites. It replaces the short-lived Roy’s Cafe that shuttered last November, following an expansion from Barstow, California.
Available to order online, current options inside the easy-to-spot corner space at 2895 N. Green Valley Parkway include a hui hui chicken plate, loco moco, chicken adobo, teriyaki grilled chicken, and kalua pork.
Once established, the Maui-native team will upgrade to a much larger menu, dedicated to breakfast, lunch, and dinner specials.

A few steps to the east, signage for newcomer Tiki Thai sits over an under construction storefront, next to door to The Codfather fish and chip shop, promising to serve a traditional English menu including mushy peas, and salt and vinegar on its hand cut chips.
In the works since last fall and delayed by permits and inspections, an estimated launch date for either venture has not been announced.
Maui Exiles, 2895 N. Green Valley Pkwy., 702-997-9268. Open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily for takeout.
