Revealed last September, but delayed by the coronavirus pandemic shutdown, celebrity chef Jet Tila makes a surprise early return to Las Vegas this month with the first of three local outposts for his new fast-ccasual, pan-Asian noodle restaurants.
Now hiring and promising a June debut, Dragon Tiger Noodle Co. moves into a flagship, 1,609-square-foot Southern Highlands location, built with a maximum occupancy of 52 inside.
A former executive chef of Wazuzu at Encore Las Vegas and the name behind Chinatown’s shuttered Kuma Snow Cream dessert store, Tila has been largely absent from the Las Vegas scene since 2016, upgrading his national profile with a series of cookbooks, TV appearances, and online recipe videos.
Partnered with Eric Persson, who is introducing the Potbelly Sandwich Shop franchise to Nevada, Dragon Tiger is also scheduled for Spring Valley’s Rainbow Commons retail center and Henderson's Shoppes on the Parkway.
Moving into a brand new structure, the build-your-own-menu restaurant will join Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Mint Locker, Baskin Robbins, and Verizon, situated across the parking lot from another future arrival, Hola Cocina+Cantina, currently on hold from its projected summer launch.
Yet to announce future opening hours, Dragon Tiger diners will choose from a roster of noodles, broths, proteins, and vegetables to make their dish, including possible combinations that feature beef pho broth, house made udon, braided pork bell, nori seaweed, and hoisin vinegar sauce.
