Sporting a long-planned subtle name change, the latest expansion from Freddy Hwang’s Sapporo Restaurant Group has brought the first conveyor belt restaurant to Henderson, located across the street from the company’s own Samurai Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi.
Now open at the intersection of Marks Street and Sunset Road, Mister Kim’s Korean BBQ is serving the same wildly popular menu as its Master Kim’s siblings, replacing a former Yummy Grill & Sushi restaurant at the Eastgate Plaza retail center.
The light-filled, corner space has kept the same quality beef-, chicken-, pork-, and seafood-focused menu found at Master’s Kim’s previous outposts at Town Square and in the southwest, and has also installed its showcase automated delivery system that quickly zips ingredients along a track installed next to each customer’s table.
Diners build each meal from a diverse menu and cook the ingredients on their personal grill. Choices include beef bulgogi, pork jowl, squid, teriyaki chicken, and more exotic selections for fans of tripe, intestine, and premium beef tongue.
More than 20 sides are available, highlighted by the very popular corn cheese, fried gyoza, kimchi fried rice, and bulgogi french fries and extra orders are placed with the safety-conscious waitstaff, before being delivered by the mechanical helper.
Mister Kim’s Korean BBQ, 560 Marks Street, Suite A, Henderson, 725-204-1188. Open daily from 11.30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and closing at 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
