NEVADA — Contact tracing found that at least 123 people who visited Nevada tested positive for COVID-19 either while in the state or shortly after returning home, AP reports. Sixteen visitors tested positive the week casinos reopened starting June 4, according to the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services. Another 31 visitors tested positive between June 22 and June 28. The end of June through July 4 found 24 more positive cases. Nearly 46 percent of the visitors who tested positive came from California, 17 percent from Arizona, 10 percent from Texas, and 6 percent from Utah. [LVS]
LAS VEGAS — Nevada’s Department of Business & Industry OSHA division conducted additional inspections statewide to see how businesses are adhering to the state’s mandatory mask directive and social distancing protocols. Only 53 percent of casino pools were found in compliance while 58.7.6 percent of bars statewide were following orders.
