Announced last August and still officially aiming for a fall debut, the Sahara Las Vegas has recently filed new paperwork to begin transforming the former home of Beer & Bets into the first Las Vegas location for Philadelphia's famed Chickie’s & Pete’s crab house and sports bar.

Allocating an estimated $657,041 for the next phase of construction costs, the original footprint was large enough to mount over 50 flat screen TVs and accommodate 195 seated customers inside.

Work will soon begin adding new walls, floor finishes, ceilings, furnishings, and kitchen equipment. A sports book operated by William Hill was also referenced in the original plans and early renderings reveal booth seating, a DJ console, fireplaces, and two bars.

The second casino expansion for the East Coast chain, Chickie’s & Pete’s opened a two-story restaurant inside Atlantic City’s Tropicana Casino back in 2013.

Proudly partnered with the Philadelphia Eagles and devoted to the Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers, Chickie’s & Pete’s is equally famed for its pub grub menu as its hometown loyalty.

Diners should expect cheesesteaks, Dungeness crabs, mussels, and clams, chowder, lobster pizza, and the house specialty crabfries, crinkle-cut French fries sprinkled with crab-infused spices and served with creamy white cheese sauce.

Also on the way to the resort, a fourth local restaurant for chef Guoming “Sam” Xin, the founder of The Noodle Man restaurant and a menu focused on hand-pulled Chinese noodle dishes. Yet to update its progress, signage on early renderings provided by the Sahara named the venue Jade Noodle Kitchen.
