A busy year of new tenants still headed to the Arts District includes the Atomic Tavern, a sports bar, Taverna Costera, Servehzah Bottle Shop+Tap Room, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, and now updated confirmation the neighborhood will be host to a long-planned sushi restaurant and sake bar.
Originally hoped to ready earlier this year, the Yu-Or-Mi Sushi Bar is moving into the currently vacant Corner Building at 1201 S. Main Street, creating a separate entrance around the corner at 100 California Street.
The gutted 1,477-square-foot space, once planned for the first local cat cafe Meow or Never, will feature 11 seats at the main sushi bar and nine around a bar specializing in sake, whiskey and Japanese cocktails, plus room for 24 customers in the compact dining room.
Back in June when the build-out resumed, the project was confident of an August debut. A full menu, or future opening hours have not been announced.
