A former Hawaiian Marketplace resident has returned with a high-profile real estate upgrade and relaunched its unique restaurant inside the Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes food court.
Chew & Chug serves its Korean-American-inspired menu in quirky containers that include space for a drink and a bendy straw at the bottom of the cup, room on the side to attach a disposable fork, and a roomy lid that holds a fast-casual menu specializing in surf-and-turf combinations.
Debuting back in May 2018, the new counter-service space has also added a selfie wall, featuring a mounted set of wings and the company motto, “dare to be rare.”
Designed for customers to be able to walk with their meal, each dish is cooked to order and served with onion rings, a mozzarella stick, grilled vegetable, cherry tomatoes, and an option of fried rice or French fries.
Menu choices include rib-eye steak, tenderloin prepared with 12 different herbs, fried tofu, and vegan meat dumplings, shrimp, scallops, salmon, or a combination of meat and seafood.
Diners can also add a sunny-side up egg and a choice of sauces. Among the beverages, sodas, pink lemonade, raspberry iced tea, beer and the house wine.
Still on the way to the Grand Canal Shoppes, the booze-infused Original Donut Bar, The X Pot, and a new outpost for Gus Dean’s Ice Cream.
Chew & Chug, Grand Canal Shoppes food court, 702-473-5063. Open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
