The Mirage reopens its doors on August 27 with a roster of restaurants, a few lounges, and enhanced safety and health protocols in place. The resort closed on March 17 when Gov. Steve Sisolak ordered all nonessential businesses including casinos to shut down to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Some of the restaurants reopening include Pantry, which plans to be open daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tom Colicchio’s Heritage Steak serves dinner Tuesday through Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m.
Osteria Costa returns with Italian fare Monday, Thursday, and Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. and again from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The Still brings its sports bar fare back Monday through Thursday from 4 to 10 p.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Saturday from noon to midnight, and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.
Paradise Cafe returns daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Rhumbar and Center Bar also return, although hours haven’t been announced. Bare Pool Lounge remains closed.
Otoro, Diablo’s Cantina, Cravings Buffet, Stack, and California Pizza Kitchen remain closed.
Diners can view restaurant menus via cell phone by using QR codes in the company’s food and beverage outlets. Customers also receive a text message notification when their tables are ready.
Once the Mirage reopens, MGM Resorts only has Park MGM and NoMad Hotel left to reopen.
Safety protocols in place include employee screenings, temperature checks, and COVID-19 specific training, along with COVID-19 testing for employees as they return to work.
Employees and guests are required to wear masks. Complimentary masks are provided, to guests, as needed. A physical distancing policy has been implemented, with floor guides serving as reminders. The resort installed plexiglass barriers in places where physical distancing presents challenges. The resort also offers standalone hand-washing stations on the casino floor
Hotel guests can use contactless check-in through the MGM Resorts App. Guestroom attendants wear masks and gloves while cleaning each room and change gloves in between.
The resort also uses electrostatic sprayers to apply disinfectant in large public spaces.
