The latest addition to the steadily expanding and community-focused Water Street dining scene has arrived in Henderson, replacing the former Hades Grill with another family-run restaurant.
A sequel to Cugino’s Italian Deli & Pizza at 4550 S. Maryland Parkway, close to UNLV, newcomer Fratelli’s Pizza Kitchen’s roster of casual Italian favorites fills a 2,178-square-foot space, a short distance from the Public Works Coffee Bar.
On the menu, a familiar collection of appetizers, salads, calzones, subs, hot sandwiches, pasta dishes, and desserts, plus a handful of less common options, including Jamaican beef patties, Sicilian rice balls, linguine calamari fra diavolo, and a clam pizza prepared with mozzarella among the restaurant's pizza specialties.
Still under construction half a mile way, Biscuits & Bourbon at 109 S. Water Street is already testing its highly anticipated breakfast, lunch and barbecue dinner menu, highlighted by baskets of biscuits paired with flights of butter, honeys, and jams.
A neighbor to Mojave Brewing Co. and a planned old-fashioned ice cream shop from the Anderson Dairy Creamery, Biscuits & Bourbon is officially announcing its “social kitchen” will be open in early October.
In the opposite direction along Water Street, close to the Lovelady Brewing Co. and the Gold Mine Tavern, the three-story, 37 S. Water Street mixed-use project has replaced the former Townhouse Motor Lodge and is expected to eventually become home to offices, a barber shop and a tattoo parlor. On the top floor, Street Burger will provide a casual dining experience, upgraded with its own patio space. Still to reveal its menu, the burger restaurant is also pushing for a fall debut.
