A dangerously delicious gourmet doughnut shop debuts this weekend with a drive-thru for ordering in Summerlin. Chef and owner Robert Teddy opens Wicked Donuts at 9490 W. Lake Mead Blvd., close to Hills Center Drive, with a coffee bar.
Teddy has M. Antoinette, a custom showpiece cake business, and ran the short-lived La Sugarie at the Venetian.
Designed around a retro rockabilly graphic theme, the house specialty combines buttery French brioche and the traditional American fluffy doughnut without preservatives or artificial colors.
Flavors include mojito with a lime and mint glaze, butter beer, Italian stallion with pistachio icing and chocolate pieces, lemon meringue pie, blueberry bliss, and peanut butter. Some of the gourmet versions include atomic cherry, curaçao creme brulee, caramel sutra, and blue suede banana. The doughnut shop offers vegan, gluten-free, and Keto-friendly versions as well.
Teddy says the dining room will open in the fall, and delivery options are on the way.
The Wicked Donuts drive-thru, 9490 W. Lake Mead Boulevard. Open from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
