A new poolside outdoor lounge opens on Friday at Red Rock Resort for weekend snacks and drinks. Crimson at Sundown takes over the pool area every Friday and Saturday evening starting at 7 p.m. Customers can sit poolside in the lounge area or reserve a cabana for up to eight guests.
The space now includes socially distanced vintage, coin-operated arcade games including Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and the Claw.
Obviously cocktails are the highlight here, with drinks such as a tropical margarita, strawberry basil punch, and wildflower sangria. The lounge also features spiked Popsicles made in house. Flavors include the Paloma made with Patrón Reposado, grapefruit, agave nectar, tajin, and serrano pepper, or the strawberry daiquiri that combines Absolut Elyx, strawberry, and lemon. The lounge also features wines by the glass, beers, and Bud Light seltzers.
Since Gov. Steve Sisolak ordered bars that do not serve food to reclose on July 10 to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Crimson at Sundown has a small menu of food that includes cheesy or regular tater tots, French fries, spiked cotton candy, tres leches cake, or a strawberry shortcake. Customers do have to order food.
The lounge offers a happy hour from 7 to 8 p.m. with half-off buckets of Bud Light, Bud Light Lime or Orange, Michelob Ultra, Bud Light Seltzer, and half price bottles of featured Prosecco and rosé.
For reservations or to book cabana call 702-797-7877.
