A new restaurant with a focus on smoked meats, backyard flavors, and American comfort food debuts in the southeast. Smoke & Fire from Ryan Klaasen and TresAmigo LLC features a roster of games for fun, a bank of televisions for watching the big games, and burgers and sandwiches with celebrity cachet. The restaurant takes over a corner space inside the Pecos Plaza retail center, replacing the short-lived Bar Boulevard vegan restaurant at the intersection of Russell and Pecos roads.
The menu includes loaded barbecue fries, smoked chicken wings, blueberry chicken sliders, smoked meat street tacos, a pulled pork burger, and St. Louis-style ribs.
Klaasen says he plans to launch a celebrity menu with sandwiches and burgers endorsed by NBA players such as Kevin Garnett, Stephen Jackson, Jason Richardson, and Alan Anderson. Even boxing champ Floyd Mayweather is a fan, giving the restaurant a shout out on Instagram.
The 2,414-square-foot Smoke & Fire features 18 televisions, along with an outdoor ping-pong table, mini putting green on the 1,500-square-foot covered patio, and a vintage pinball machine. In the future, the restaurant hopes to feature a trivia night, karaoke, and UFC viewing events.
Smoke & Fire, 3315 E. Russell Road, 725-214-5398. Open from noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The restaurant hopes to extend its hours from noon to 10 p.m. daily in the near future. Online ordering for curbside pickup and delivery available.
