DB’s Cajun Kitchen to Debut Crab Legs and Creole Favorites in the Northwest

Pitched as a Vegas rival to Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles

Confidently promoting his first bricks and mortar restaurant as a Las Vegas rival to Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles in Los Angeles, chef Derland Blake, better known locally as DB, is a few weeks away from debuting a Louisiana-style menu in the northwest.

Moving into a 2,160-square-foot corner space at the Imperial Plaza retail center, DB’s Cajun Kitchen replaces Greek Delights, a two-year old restaurant from the local food truck brand.

Located at the intersection of Rancho Drive and Craig Road and featuring its own patio, DB’s is pushing for an early October launch, tentatively scheduled to be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Inspired by the success and reputation of Roscoe’s soul food on the West Coast, the Cajun Kitchen will build on chef Blake's popularity as a private caterer and prepare home cooked-inspired dishes at the counter-service venue.

Already hinted for the menu, crab legs, gumbo, shrimp and grits, lobster mac and cheese, and strawberry shortcake. Recent DB creations have also included stuffed French toast paired with deep fried king crab, lobster and waffles, catfish, and barbecue ribs.
