Luring crowds of fans to its opening day in Chinatown, Taiwanese franchise Tiger Sugar has operated almost entirely under COVID restrictions since its debut last spring. But in a surprise move, the global brand is now promising to be expanding soon into a new Henderson outpost.
A social media star for its brown sugar bubble tea that creates syrup ”tiger stripes” when shaken vigorously, Tiger Sugar is officially announcing it is coming soon to the Park Place retail center at 9530 S. Eastern Avenue, replacing a former State Farm office and sitting between the popular Pin Kaow Thai Restaurant and Lee’s Sandwiches.
The original Spring Mountain counter-service store, located between Lindell Road and Hauck Street, currently offers no indoor dining space, and only enough waiting room for customers to pick up hot or cold boba, pearl, latte, and cream mousse beverages.
Suggesting each sealed cup is shaken 15 times before breaking the seal with a straw, staff prepare each drink with fresh milk, releasing an aromatic sensation from the presence of boba pearls coated with black sugar.
Created in Taichung, Taiwan, in 2017, Tiger Sugar has also grown its product line to include ice cream bars, Popsicles, and flavored popcorn. The Henderson site has yet to reveal an estimated opening date, serving hours, or future menu.
