So far in 2021, Ohjah made a big splash with Japanese fare and teppanaki tables in Centennial, El Luchador brought Mexican food to Mountain’s Edge, a new barbecue restaurant with a drive-thru window and all-you-can-eat option debuted in the southeast, and a new taproom specializing in smaller breweries arrived in the Arts District. Healthy Mexican fare, a Vikings-themed seafood restaurant, barbecue in North Las Vegas, and Thai food in Summerlin also make the list. Newcomers include all-you-can-eat sushi in Fremont East, fried chicken on the eastside, an Italian restaurant on the Strip, wildly popular Mr. Fries Man, and a second location for Big Jerk. A Greek restaurant returned to the Strip, a brunch and dinner favorite moved in Henderson, and a great new beer bar in the Gateway District join deejay Pauly D’s sub sandwiches and tacos out of San Diego. Virgin Hotels brings Nobu, One Steakhouse, Night + Market, and Casa Calavera, among others. Even David Chang opened a new restaurant. Former Top Chef contestant Bruce Kalman brings barbecue to the Gateway District.
