La Strega, the Eater 38 Italian restaurant that was Eater Vegas’ Restaurant of the Year in 2019 from chef Gina Marinelli, continues to turn to innovative ways to deal with limited seating capacity due to mandates from the state to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Her next project brings a pescheria to the restaurant in Summerlin.
Marinelli launches the Sunday pescheria on January 24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fish market will feature a crudo bar showcasing raw seafood, broths, and accoutrements, alongside a full wine list as well as coffee, rosé, Champagne, and cocktails available for purchase.
Marinelli plans to hold cooking demonstrations, while shoppers receive take-home instructions for preparing their dishes at home. The limited-engagement market continues all winter on Sundays.
In December, Marinelli introduced a secret sandwich shop during lunch hours on Tuesdays through Saturdays, and now Piccola Strega becomes a permanent fixture at the restaurant. Diners can pick up Roman-style piadines, salads, accoutrements, Piccola Aperol spritzes, and a featured wine list curbside from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Customers can order in advance for curbside pickup at 702-722-2099.
