A new restaurant specializing in brunch and booze plans to open this spring on Rainbow Boulevard near Russell Road in Spring Valley.
Good Morning Kitchen & Cocktail Bar brings breakfast staples with a twist along with customizable bloody Marys from chef Jhon Castro and the Umbrella Consulting Team.
“A lot of breakfast restaurants in Las Vegas seem so rushed and frazzled,” says Dan Simmons of Umbrella Consulting Team in a press statement. “We wanted to create an environment where people walk in and immediately feel relaxed. They don’t have to rush through their meal. We want them to stay, enjoy some cocktails, and just escape the world for an hour or two.”
Teased dishes include 66 degree country fried eggs, a tater tot hash, chicken and waffles, a soft shell crab eggs Benedict, New York steak sandwich, and Colombian coffee waffles. The restaurant promises a vegan menu with vegan omelets, Benedicts, quiches, sandwiches, and waffles.
Even the brunch cocktails go the extra mile. An adult cereal cocktails comes with Baileys Irish Cream, while the POG (pineapple, orange, guava) tea cocktail comes served in a vintage tea cup garnished with fresh flowers. A bloody Mary cart lets customers have their brunch staple cocktail made to order table side.
Kristen Corral, one of the partners behind Good Morning Kitchen and co-owner of Tacotarian, says the interior plans to showcase a contemporary look filled with golds, creams, corals, and blues. “You’ll notice subtle hints to the name throughout the restaurant in the tiny details like mirrors, wallpaper, and fixtures,” she says.
Castro, a native of Venezuela, worked at restaurants such as Sparrow & Wolf, Mercadito formerly at Red Rock Resort, Bazaar Meat by José Andrés at the Sahara, and Sushi Roku at the Forum Shops at Caesars, before joining the Good Morning Kitchen team.
