MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub is now officially counting down to an October 18 debut for sports fans on the second floor of Henderson’s Lifeguard Arena. Operated by Vegas Golden Knights’s owner Bill Foley and his Montana-based Glacier Restaurant Group since 2017, MacKenzie River has been the successful, sole dining tenant at the Knight’s City National Arena practice facility in Summerlin.

On Water Street, the casual American restaurant created a seating area looking directly onto the practice rink for Foley’s AHL team, the Henderson Silver Knights. The bar is already being touted as a local rallying point for fans cheering on their NHL brethren while watching games on the multiple TV screens mounted around the restaurant. The restaurant also offers a patio with views of downtown Henderson, as well as a large central bar, high-top tables, and sporting memorabilia hung from the industrial-design ceiling.
Yet to announce its full hours, a Monday to Friday happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. has been shared, promoting 75 cent wings, $3 domestic pints, and deals on wine, craft beer, and well drinks, plus a series of weekday food specials. The Summerlin location remains open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
On the huge menu, expect appetizers of wings, nachos, and a house favorite, black and blue bites, made with bleu cheese crumbles and sirloin. Larger plates include pizzas, flatbreads, burgers, sandwiches, pasta dishes, and pub classics of fish and chips, meatloaf, and Baja fish tacos.
