Carla Pellegrino, a Vegas dining scene fixture and former Top Chef contestant, fires up the burners today at Dough House (5875 South Rainbow Boulevard), the new Italian-inspired eatery from sisters Marina and Axenia Cobzac in Spring Valley.
It’s the first restaurant for the Moldavian siblings, with two more in the works.
Italian classics such as a fritto misto di mare, minestrone, Italian meatballs, and various pasta dishes anchor the tidy menu, while some savory Moldavian dishes add a twist. Look for the Dough House vegetable placinte, a Moldavian pastry with fresh cabbage and roasted onion, or the Dough House feta cheese placinte. Desserts include Sicilian cannoli, ricotta cheesecake, and more.
The airy interior is flooded in warm cream and white tones, with a black grand piano dressing the space. There’s an indoor garden as well. Live music, including DJs on the weekends, will join the mix in the coming weeks.
Opening hours are Monday through Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Thursdays from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m.; and on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
