An entirely vegan food bank opened in December, offering vegetables, fruits, pastas, rice, beans, and more for those in need. LasVegan Food Bank distributes about 40 boxes of food every Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at RIR Animal Sanctuary.

Those who want to help the organization can donate non-perishable food at Veg-In-Out Market, Go Vegan Cafe & Juice Bar, and Tarantino’s Vegan, and the organization accepts cash donations via Venmo and Patreon for produce purchases on the day the boxes are handed out.

In order to pick up a box, people need to sign up in advance on the food bank’s Facebook page, and then receive information on obtaining a box via contactless curbside service. Anyone can register to receive food.

In the future, the group hopes to launch a website and delivery, and hopes to work with Three Square Food Bank.

The LasVegan Food Bank is the first food bank to offer all-vegan food in Las Vegas [Vegans, Baby]
