NORTHWEST and SOUTHWEST — Old School Pizzeria plans to open two new locations. A location at 1930 Rock Springs Drive near Lake Mead Boulevard plans to open by mid-April while a second at Blue Diamond Road and Buffalo Drive should open in August. NEVADA — A new study by Business.org found that restaurant workers statewide made an average of $24,099 a year, 49 percent less than the average salary across all industries in Nevada. The study used each restaurant occupation’s annual salary and the number of persons employed to create a weighted average. The organization included servers, fast food workers, bartenders, dishwashers, hosts, and hostesses to create the data. [EaterWire]
SOUTHWEST — UnCommons, the $400-million project with office space, restaurants, and housing spread over 40 acres at the 215 Beltway and Durango Drive, started construction on its pedestrian-friendly campus that plans to offer restaurants, a food hall, and more. The food hall Platform One brings dining options from a dozen local chefs and food industry veterans when in opens in 2022.
