Eighteen months since it was first revealed to be headed to Centennial Hills, The Standard Tavern is now officially promising a spring debut and currently seeking approval from the Nevada Gaming Control Board for its proposed 15 bar-top gaming machines.
Moving into a corner space at the Durango Beltway Plaza, The Standard joins Wingstop and the seventh local expansion of Greens & Proteins at 8635 Rome Boulevard, sitting behind the Montecito Crossing retail center.
Originally planned as a 3,456-square-foot sequel to the McFadden’s Restaurant & Saloon at Town Square, two former McFadden’s employees, Kristopher Morahan and Cornelius Radan, are managers of the new sports bar.
Still to reveal future opening hours, The Standard Tavern faces direct competition from Distill, located on the other side of the Bruce Woodbury Parkway, Buffalo Wild Wings, only a short walk behind the new bar, and Kopper Keg North, open around the clock on the opposite side of Montecito Crossing since 2009.
