A new sports bar with a vintage feel plans to open at Caesars Palace, overlooking the casino floor and Vanderpump Cocktail Garden. The resort filed paperwork with Clark County for $2.6 million in construction costs alone to renovate the 2,186-square-foot space in the Forum Food Court into Stadia Bar. The bar opens this spring with a 120-seat bar and lounge that gives the feel of a live sports arena.
The bar includes five VIP domes wrapped in leather that look like a vintage leather football helmet. Each comes equipped with an LED screen. The domes are lined with a metal mesh and artwork by San Francisco-based artist and mural painter Apexer. Other sports-inspired design details include net-like chandeliers, sconces that look like deconstructed baseballs, and glove-like leather banquettes. Rockwell Group, which designed Omnia Nightclub, Montecristo Cigar Bar, and Nobu at the resort, created the look of the space.
Stadia Bar promises to carry hard-to-find liquors including Kentucky Owl 10 Year Rye, Pappy Van Winkle 13 Year Rye, Elmer T. Lee 100 Year Tribute, and signature blends of whiskey that are purchased by the barrel. While the food was not teased, customers will be able to order via mobile devices.
Caesars Palace closed its Cypress Street Marketplace food court in 2014 to open the Forum Food Court at the entrance to the Forum Shops at Caesars.
Caesars Palace also plans to unveil Amalfi by Bobby Flay in the former Mesa Grill space this spring.
