Seafood-in-a-bag restaurants show no signs of letting up, and now a newcomer dons a bib and enters the Henderson market with Asian and Cajun flavors. Angry Crab Shack debuted with the first location in Nevada with plans to expand.
Diners can order a seafood boil with options such as lobster, Dungeness crab, king crab, snow crab, or crawfish, all priced by the pound. Then customers can add sauces ranging from lemon pepper or garlic to water-based sweet or traditional. Spices range from “wimpy” mild to ridiculously hot. Believe it or not, scorching scorpion and angry ghost are listed as milder than ridiculously hot. Other add ins include seasonal vegetables, sausage, corn on the cob, red potato, a hard-boiled egg, or crispy tofu.
The restaurant also offers sandwiches, such as a lobster roll, po-boys, and shrimp and crab cakes. Kids have their own menu of chicken tenders, mac and cheese, mini corn dogs, or fried shrimp, all starting at $5.
Angry Crab Shack originally opened in 2013 in Mesa, Arizona, and now has six corporate locations and seven franchise locations with plans to open 100 locations by 2025.
