Terrible Herbst and Jett Gaming launched a new tavern in Centennial Hills with its own elevated spin on a pub grub menu and offering around the clock gambling.
Moving into a long in the works, stand-alone space on the west side of the Smiths-anchored Skye Canyon Marketplace, Skye Bar & Grill joins recent arrival Omelette Cafe, and the under construction Bob’s Big Boy, also scheduled to feature 15 gaming machines.
Initiating a daily 4 to 7 p.m. happy hour, featuring half-off orders of bar bites, specialty cocktails, beer, and wine, the open plan, well-lit Skye Bar space includes a large central bar equipped with video gaming, 18 HDTVs, and a small section facing a fireplace encouraging the tavern’s motto of “cocktails and conversations.”
Requiring phone reservations at 725-217-1881 for table dining and only welcoming customers aged 21 and over, the grill is accepting pick up orders for its full menu.
Pitched as an “upscale” twist on a local sports bar, breakfast is available at all hours and includes tres leches French toast, spam loco moco, Southern biscuits, and “the soon-to-be-world-famous” pancakes. Bar bites can be purchased as a trio for $12, including the adobo pork belly sliders, pot stickers, beef skewers, and fried vegetables.
Serving brick oven pizza and flat breads, specialty plates are highlighted by smoked beef ribs, an 8-ounce filet, chicken marsala, and cedar smoked salmon, with options of salads, soups, sandwiches, and burgers for more casual appetites.
Skye Bar and Grill, 9830 W. Skye Canyon Park Drive, 725-217-1881. Serving 24/7, reservations are required for table dining.
