A retail strip in Henderson has once again upgraded its casual dining options, with the latest tenant a surprise sequel to a local favorite, renowned for serving classic Thai dishes for over 30 years.
Now open at the Sunset Ridge Shopping Center, Ocha Thai Express replaces the short-lived Tiki Thai, a few short steps from The Codfather’s very popular fish and chips menu and the East Coast-inspired pizzas from Those Guys Pies.
The original, family-owned Ocha Thai Cuisine remains a downtown destination on Las Vegas Boulevard, formerly sitting under easy-to-spot mint-green signage, close to the Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel.
The new counter-service outpost in Henderson is open daily for takeout, delivery, or seated dining with a reservation, near the intersection of Green Valley Parkway and Sunset Road.
A less formal concept to its predecessor, the express menu features lunch, dinner, and vegan specials and still manages to offer many Thai specialties including made-to-order spicy tom yum and tom kha soups, plus deep-fried marinated beef jerky, larb salads, red, green and panang curries, a collection of egg and noodles dishes, and stir-fried entrees.
Ocha Thai Express, 2895 N. Green Valley Parkway Suite E, Henderson, 702-915-7606. Reservations can be made by phone or online.
