THE STRIP — Dunkin’, the doughnut and coffee shop out of Quincy, Massachusetts, opens two new locations on the Las Vegas Strip in April, a first for the company. Both walk-up locations slot in at the Linq, with one off the Strip-facing side of the resort and another near the entrance to Caesars Forum, the new conference center, near the resort’s casino floor. Both locations plan to offer coffee tap systems, serving eight cold beverages such as iced coffees, iced teas, cold brew, and nitro-infused cold brew coffees. Of course, the brand’s coffee will be on hand. Both locations span 800 square feet and employ 12 people each. The NVGRE Group owns the franchise and operates 13 Dunkin’ locations across Nevada and Illinois, with plans to open five more Dunkin’ locations in southern Nevada in 2021. [EaterWire]

WESTSIDE — El Pollo Loco, the fast-casual purveyors of L.A. Mex food, revealed a renovated location at 2330 S. Rainbow Boulevard, part of company-wide rebranding that includes GPS-enabled curbside pick-up and digital order pick-up that connect through the El Pollo Loco app. Inside the restaurant, customers can find digital menu boards and grab-and-go drinks, new pendant lights in the dining room made from forks, new door handles shaped to resemble a cleaver, inlaid murals, and even the wallpaper showing maps of Los Angeles. This location joins two in Los Angeles that now feature El Pollo Loco’s new look, a direct response to the coronavirus pandemic and the way people dine. [EaterWire]
