Less than two years after a successful expansion to Chinatown, local favorite Weera Thai will soon begin transforming an even bigger space in the southwest.
While the restaurant has not announced the new location, it submitted plans to move into a 2,897-square-foot corner property at the Commons at Warm Springs retail center on Rainbow Boulevard, anchored by an easy-to-spot Sprouts Farmers Market.
Located behind Raw Fitness and on the opposite side of the building as Egg Sammie, the new restaurant upgrades from its 1,776-square foot Spring Mountain Road restaurant at Shanghai Plaza, roomy enough for 49 diners inside.
A Las Vegas institution since 2010 and earning a very loyal following at its original Sahara Avenue location on the westside, the self-described “anything but traditional” restaurant serves recipes “handed down from our grandmothers... inspired by our travel memories; and, others are improvised from our midnight fridge raids.”
Still to reveal a potential debut date, both Weera Thai sites remain open daily for lunch and dinner, offering lengthy menus that include happy hour specials, very popular duck dishes, Thai street food, and Issan Northeastern-style specialties.
