“Indulgence cookies” and pineapple Dole Whip smoothies will be available to order direct from the car later this year when Utah-born franchise Twisted Sugar expands to a third local outpost, officially planned for Spring Valley.
Moving into a drive-thru corner site at the Sunset Tenaya Center and now working toward a summer debut, the cookie shops filed paperwork to add new equipment to the counter-service dessert shop, located inside a vacant property at the intersection of Sunset Road and Tenaya Way.
Launching in Centennial early last year, inside a small space at the Skye Canyon Marketplace’s Smith’s grocery store and within a few months expanding to its own store at Henderson’s Paseo Verde Plaza, Twisted Sugar specializes in 21 varieties of sugar cookies, including gluten-free options.
Choices include the namesake Twisted Sugar, created with coconut frosting and fresh lime, plus toppings of sprinkles, salted caramel, banana cream, oatmeal, and the “sugardoodle,” or Oreo-topped cookies and cream creations.
Also on the menu, a wide selection of customizable sodas, upgradable with energy shots, cream, and fruit flavors, and the brand’s ice cream smoothies, including orange, piña colada, lemonade, mango and pineapple Dole Whip, plus the Red Bull Twister and frozen hot chocolate.
The new southwest location will welcome walk-in customers and accept orders from a mobile app. While future opening hours have yet to be revealed, the Henderson store remains open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
