Chef Matt Meyer reinvented his Henderson restaurant Served that closed last May with a move to the Horizon Foothills Market Place on Horizon Ridge Parkway near Stephanie Street. The new 5,200-square-foot restaurant Served Global Dining features a chef’s table, tasting menus, and brunch and dinner options.
Meyer converted a teppan table into a chef’s table where diners can order five-course tasting menus for brunch or dinner with options such as asparagus five ways, miso octopus, Thai suckling pig, or a scallop Benny. A raw bar offers options such as oysters, tartare, or carpaccio, as well as a crudo menu and a California roll with Alaskan king crab and pickled vegetables.
One room features a setting for live music such as a jazz trio on Friday night, while another offers a private dining room.
Chef’s favorites include bibimbap served in a hot stone pot with heirloom vegetables and a sunny-side up egg; lomo saltado with fried plantains, steak fries, and two sunny-side up eggs; pollo Havana with glazed carrots and black rice; a Korean barbecue plate with a macaroni salad; a soy-garlic wing plate with garlic rice and cabbage; and wild salmon with panang curry and garlic fried rice. All come paired with wines.
A huge variety of pancakes, waffles, egg Benedicts, scrambles, and hashes make the breakfast menu, while diners can order tacos, burgers, sandwiches, and salads as well.
