A drive-thru pizza restaurant complete with entertainment for the kids plans to land in Henderson on St. Rose Parkway near Coronado Center Drive in early April. Born and Raised founder Scott Godino Jr. teamed up with Anthony E. Zuiker, best known for creating the hit TV franchise CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, to open Fly Pie, a pizza restaurant where diners drive through an airplane hanger from ordering to pickup, with original animated shorts playing as they await their orders.
Zuiker, a Las Vegas native, met Godino Jr. when he flew into Las Vegas in November 2019 when his mother was about to have heart valve replacement surgery. His mother sadly died, and Zuiker stayed in town, eating at Born and Raised three times before he reached out to Godino Jr. Both coincidentally had an idea for Fly Pie, a drive-thru restaurant. “And at that moment, serendipitously, we realized that that was our destiny,” Zuiker says. “We put the peanut butter of his restaurant acumen with my global storytelling, chocolate, and smushed it together to make Fly Pie.”
Customers drive up onto what looks like a tarmac to order at this airport-themed restaurant that only offers drive-thru service. Then they drive through the hangar, where one of seven one-minute Pixar quality 3D movie shorts plays for entertainment. Zuiker created animated characters such as “Lil Churro Tot,” “Mr. Heat,” and “Chomp,” who perform in animated shorts brought to life by Tremblay Bros. Studios. A scent machine even gives customers the aromas of pizza cooking or Oreos deep frying. The shorts swap out so customers can potentially see a different one during each visit.

The menu features pizza, wings, loaded fries, and fried Oreos and churros. Fly Pie uses a modular cubed kitchen, created by Extreme Cubes, that is fabricated off-site and then brought in as one piece of equipment. The pizza oven cooks pies in three minutes using a dough recipe that incorporates New York water using a proprietary mechanism for the conversion.
The entertainment at the restaurant includes an Art Wall, where local graffiti artists paint something new every three months. Fly Pie will also feature its own TikTok and Character Walls, complete with multiple backgrounds, where customers can take selfies with the Fly Pie characters.
Once the first location opens, the team already has plans for additional Fly Pies on Durango Drive, Blue Diamond Road, and at Craig Road and Fifth Street.
