Consider the Bar at Commons Club as the 24/7 replacement for the Hard Rock Hotel’s beloved Center Bar. Richard “Boz” Bosworth, president and CEO of JC Hospitality LLC, which owns Virgin Hotels, refers to the new lobby bar as an “off-center bar,” moved to the right of the entrance to the resort.

The bar, which spills into the lobby, offers a jewel-toned setting under a 20-foot domed skylight. A piano at the front of the bar converts into a deejay booth with a spin table and sub-woofers inside. Chad Brown, the vice president of marketing at Virgin Hotels, says the bar plans to host pop-up performances without tickets or advance notice. Colorful geodes decorate screens that separate the lobby from the bar.

Cocktails with musical and British nods include Miss Moneypenny with Don Julio Reposado, Luxardo Marschino, grapefruit and lime juice, and agave nectar; the Bloody Brilliant with Remy Martin VSOP, Sazerac Bourbon Whiskey, blood orange bitters, and star anise syrup; and the non-alcoholic Picadilly Circus with Lyre’s dry London spirit, vanilla syrup, banana pulp, and lemon juice.
