Secret menus, a cocktail served in a miniature clawfoot bathtub, and Champagne galore highlight the menu at Gatsby’s Cocktail Lounge, the new bar from Clique Hospitality opening at Resorts World on June 24. The lounge, open to the casino floor with 360-degree views of all the action, features a mix of eight specialty drinks and three Champagne-based selections along with an ever-evolving secret menu that customers find by searching for hidden clues inside the lounge.
The regular cocktail menu features the Barbe-Nicole, an ode to the Champagne world’s leading lady Barbe-Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin. The cocktail pairs Grand Marnier and apricot liqueur with ginger and Veuve-Clicquot Yellow Label. The Old Sport, a twist on the classic Sidecar, features Remy Martin 1738, Cointreau Noir, and barrel spice bitters, while the Fox Trot balances vodka with cucumber and basil notes. Gatsby’s Old Fashioned uses two whiskeys — Russel’s Reserve six year rye and Clyde Mays Alabama. The Daisy Sour combines vodka with the sweet blend of amaretto, lavender bitters, rosemary syrup with the spritz of lemon and lime juice.
Old school options include ageless libations such as a French 75, Negroni, Moscow Mule, Sazerac, Paloma, Last Word, and the Hemingway Daiquiri.
But the cocktail that will have everyone talking is the Champagne Bubble Bath, served on a silver platter in a miniature porcelain bathtub decorated with rose petals and chocolate. Everything in the drink is edible except the rubber ducky and bathtub. Even the metal straw doubles as a spoon used to scoop the mojito bubbles off the top of the drink. The cocktail combines gin, aperol, strawberry rose syrup, muddled blood orange, and Champagne.
The lounge also plans to feature 40 Champagnes and sparkling wines available by the bottle and 10 different selections by the flute.
Gatsby’s plans to start pouring at 11 a.m.
