Looking to an early June debut, local caterer and food truck Afro Fusion is expanding into its first brick-and-mortar location, bringing a uncommon West African menu to the westside.
Specializing in Liberian dishes and promising the “ultimate African dining experience,” the restaurant has been sharing online previews of its future menu, designed for dine-in, takeout, and delivery.
Located at the intersection of Alta and Buffalo Drives, Afro Fusion takes over a light-filled, 2,369-square-foot corner space, previously occupied by the Call Me Cake soul food restaurant and the Southern Style Eatery.
Expanding on a food truck menu that includes fufu and soup, fish and chicken gravy, jollof rice and attiéké, diners can also expect chicken gizzards, rice with oxtail, a Senegalese fish dish known as tchep, pigs in a blanket sausages wrapped in dough, pineapple upside down cake and the mashed plantain creation foutou banane with peanut soup.
