Right on target, Clique Hospitality and Naples-born chef Enzo Esposito expanded their New York-inspired pizza restaurant from the Palms to Red Rock Resort and will begin serving whole pies and slices within days.

Beginning May 21, Side Piece will replace shuttered fellow pizza vendor Villa Italian Kitchen, a Red Rock food court tenant since 2010. Villa Italian remains open at the Fashion Show mall, Las Vegas North Premium Outlets, and Sante Fe Station.

Previously announced plans had scheduled Side Piece to be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., add a local delivery option, and encourage takeout orders.

Among proposed menu upgrades, meatballs, fried pizza dough, hot sandwiches, salads, and the chicken Parm pizza topped with a fried chicken cutlet, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.

Side Piece debuted as a counter-service restaurant inside the Palms in March of 2019, a fast-casual companion to Clique’s Greene St. Kitchen. Alongside the entire resort, both venues have been closed for the last 14 months and their fate remains in limbo while new property owners, The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, decide which restaurants will return to the casino floor. The resort is not expected to reopen under the new ownership until very late in 2021 at the earliest.
