The patio at ¡Viva!
| ¡Viva!

Welcome to the Eater Vegas outdoor dining guide, updated for 2021. The weather in Las Vegas makes it ideal for outdoor dining and drinking year round, whether in the middle of triple-digit temperatures in the summer (thank you, misters) or in the midst of winter (thank you, heaters). Head to a romantic patio on the Strip at Restaurant Guy Savoy, a patio with a view of the city at Legacy Club, a garden hideout at Park on Fremont, a luxurious tented patio at Honey Salt, or patio with sand and poolside views at Casa Calavera.

This guide contains outdoor dining news, maps, and guides, updated as new patios emerge.

¡Viva!

The patio at chef Ray Garcia’s ¡Viva! at Resorts World sits on Las Vegas Boulevard for prime people watching and dishes such as shrimp and clamato coctel de camaron, ancho-rubbed lamb ribs and a side of red cabbage slaw, chicharron and garlic mojo, octopus with chorizo and salsa molcajete, and a 6-ounce cut of Mashima Reserve American wagyu prepared with salsa, roasted tomato, and fingerling potatoes. Head here on the weekend for brunch with bottomless sangria and chorizo con huevos.

Order a paella for two or four, or just grab some tapas and sangria, then head to the patio at Valencian Gold, which reopened after a major makeover in the southwest. Tapas options include poached seafood, chicken and jamon croquettes, house-made chorizo casero, warm guiri dates with blue cheese and bacon mojo, bullfighter’s steak, patatas bravas, and rabo bar fries with braised oxtails and tetilla. Or just go for a charcuterie plate.

Sugar Factory American Brasserie’s new location at Harmon Corner outpost offers stunning views of the Las Vegas Strip to the south. In colder months, sit by a firepit and devour a sundae or milkshake, the perfect balance of hot and cold.

Dave’s Hot Chicken brings fast-casual hot chicken tenders and sliders, along with sides of house-made kale slaw, creamy mac n’ cheese, and crispy French fries. Dave’s offers seven various spice levels ranging from No Spice to Reaper, which requires a signed waiver for those who dare. Each heat level uses a different spice blend. Head out to the small patio decorated with murals designed by Splatterhaus and Dehmq while eating.

Brezza, Italian for breeze, embraces that airy ambiance with a patio with room for 100 overlooking the Las Vegas Strip. The new Italian restaurant at Resorts World features fare from Nicole Brisson, a James Beard Foundation semifinalist for Best Chef Southwest in 2020.

Money, Baby!, combines a sportsbook with food from Food Network star and culinary director chef Beau MacMillan and an experience courtesy of industry veterans and co-founders Justin Massei and Mikis Troyan of Clive Collective. The new sports bar at Virgin Hotels features a 5,500-square-foot-patio overlooking the property’s resort pools. Diners can play cornhole and lawn games, or sit by the fire pits. Nosh on dishes such as the Home Wrecker, an 18-inch all-beef hot dog, available Chicago style, reuben, bahn mi, or “Boss Hog” with barbecue braised pork and queso blanco.

A third location for the Mexican restaurant El Dorado Cantina arrives at 8349 W. Sunset Road near the 215 Beltway. The 4,500-square-foot space has patio seating for table-side guacamole, street tacos, and vegan and vegetarian options.
