Clique Hospitality and Naples-born chef Enzo Esposito expanded their New York-inspired pizza restaurant to Red Rock Resort serving whole pies and slices within days. Side Piece replaces the shuttered pizza vendor Villa Italian Kitchen, a Red Rock food court tenant since 2010, although Villa Italian remains open at the Fashion Show mall, Las Vegas North Premium Outlets, and Sante Fe Station.
Side Piece keeps the New York- and Sicilian-inspired pizzas, hot Italian sandwiches, and classic calzones coming with Esposito’s chicken Parm pizza smothered with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses taking center stage. Other options include 16-inch and 22-inch cheese, pepperoni, veggie, meat lovers, and their local favorite the Bianca. Side Piece’s Sicilian style pizzas will be available in cheese or pepperoni options.
Diners can start with pizza rolls, garlic knots, mozzarella sticks, or pizza fritta with prosciutto and mozzarella layered on top of fried pizza dough. Salads include a Tuscan salad mixed with greens, pears, blue cheese, toasted walnuts, and balsamic vinaigrette or a Caesars salad served tossed with a lemon pepper Caesars dressing. A Caprese salad comes with heirloom tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and aged balsamic dressing.
Hot sandwiches include a classic Italian, chicken Parmesan, meatball, prosciutto panini, and eggplant to name a few.
The restaurant also plans to-go options, including a deal for a 22-inch New York cheese pie for $10 on Wednesdays for delivery only.
Side Piece debuted as a counter-service restaurant inside the Palms in March of 2019, a fast-casual companion to Clique’s Greene St. Kitchen. Alongside the entire resort, both venues have been closed for the last 14 months and their fate remains in limbo while new property owners, The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, decide which restaurants will return to the casino floor. The resort is not expected to reopen under the new ownership until very late in 2021 at the earliest.
