Making good use of the empty parking lot at the corner of Arville Street and Spring Mountain Road, a built-from-scratch retail building already signed on two local names to debut later this year in Chinatown.
SeaSalt Sushi & Oyster is confirmed to be expanding from its southeast base at the intersection of Bermuda and Silverado Ranch Boulevard and moving into the western end of the new property. A few steps from a PT’s Gold Pub, the building sits near the Macy’s furniture store and across from Lamaii and the Sura BBQ Buffet. The retail center is waiting to reveal the remaining two tenants,
Expected to offer a similar menu from executive chef Eric Lee, the two-year old original features an all-you-can-eat sushi and an Asian-style buffet for lunch and dinner, plus à la carte options of oysters, sashimi, skewers, and tempura dishes. SeaSalt owner David Lee also operates Japanese restaurant Enza Ramen in Henderson.
Two doors to the east, Roberto's Taco Shop will make its first move into the Chinatown neighborhood, creating a counter-service restaurant on the eastern corner.
A ubiquitous name in Las Vegas for its casual Mexican menu, the San Diego-born chain has expanded to more than 60 locations in California and Nevada since 1964. Celebrity chef Guy Fieri has shared that he considers its carne asada burrito a personal “guilty pleasure” and among the best things “he ever ate.”
Estimated opening dates for both ventures have not been announced.
