Replacing the ill-fated Eclipse Theater and its moody, dark interior, Art Houz Theaters has made a big commitment to return the dinner and movie experience downtown.
Announcing a June 3 debut, the three-story complex will launch at the corner of Third Street and Gass Avenue, filling the approximately 72,000-square-foot entertainment complex with new artwork, fixtures, and a light, open-plan environment.
Scheduled to offer first run films, a renewed emphasis has been placed on luring customers to its upper-level bar and its revamped restaurant, serving Thursday to Sunday from 3 p.m. to midnight.
Theater spaces can be booked for corporate presentations and as smaller, private event spaces, catered with the new menu available in the extended dining areas, or out on the patio.
Previewed appetizers include pork belly, chicken “lollipopz,” bison meatballs, and kielbasa sausage hot dogs, plus salads, flatbreads, entrées of fried chicken, sea bass, duck breast, filet mignon, and the Art Haus burger, and dessert options of lemon cream cake, tiramisu, or milk and cookies.
