Sound the Alarm, Dave’s Hot Chicken Has an Opening Date for Fiery Tenders and Sliders

One of the most anticipated restaurant openings in Las Vegas this summer gets ready to make its debut on the westside on July 2.

Dave’s Hot Chicken opens its first restaurant with a drive-thru at 9040 W. Sahara Ave. in an easy-to-spot location across Fort Apache Road from Village Square. The draw here is a roster of fast-casual hot chicken tenders and sliders, along with sides of house-made kale slaw, creamy mac n’ cheese, and crispy French fries. Dave’s offers seven various spice levels ranging from No Spice to Reaper, which requires a signed waiver for those who dare. Each heat level uses a different spice blend.

The restaurant plans to be open daily from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Arman Oganesyan and former Bouchon chef Dave Kopushyan, along with brothers Tommy and Gary Rubenyan, launched the wildly popular Dave’s Hot Chicken in a parking lot pop-up in 2017 in Los Angeles, and debuted their first location in East Hollywood. The four teamed up with Wetzel’s Pretzels co-founder and former CEO Bill Phelps and movie producer John Davis in 2019 to begin franchising the Dave’s Hot Chicken across the country, with 30 locations opening this year alone.
