In addition to six frozen treat emporiums preparing to debut, plus a handful more waiting to officially announce, newcomer Drill It Creamery and a third store for Sticks & Shakes are ready to begin scooping soon.
Already open, Sticks & Shakes replaces Thrifty Ice Cream in Spring Valley, taking over 1,000 square feet at the Global Plaza West center, close to the intersection of Durango Drive and Twain Avenue and tenants Other Mama and Bomb Tacos.
The Sticks & Shakes menu features 22 flavors of gelato and sorbet, elaborate mixed candy shakes, churros, plus the namesake cheesecake on a stick. The ice cream shop is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., closing at 10 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The company's Fashion Show mall plaza and Galleria at Sunset outposts both remain open.
Currently hiring, family-owned local shop Drill It Creamery is keeping its full menu under wraps, but will soon be moving into the former home of Boca Park’s Ice Land, a rolled ice cream store imported from Philadelphia.
Located near Jason’s Deli and around the corner from Wahoo’s Fish Taco, the creamery is promising more than 30 choices to “infuse” and mix into ice cream and milkshakes, or top-off a dessert.
