Fast approaching half a million Instagram followers eagerly awaiting his trademark “HELLLOOOOOO” announcements, chef Craig Batiste oversees a fast-casual tribute to loaded French fry platters that has quickly become a social media cult favorite.
And now Mr. Fries Man finally has an opening date on the eastside, moving into a convenient location on Flamingo Road, less than two miles from the Strip.
Launched as an L.A. food cart and growing to 21 franchise expansions within five years, the simple menu serves up a mountain of fries topped with options of chicken, shrimp, steak, bacon, chili, crab, and plant-based meat, plus a collection of sauces, including sweet barbecue, hot Buffalo, lemon garlic, mango habanero, and the house “Smack” and “Hello” recipes.
Planned to be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Mr. Fries Man will debut on July 24 inside a former 1,350-square-foot Subway store at the Flamingo Market Place, a short distance from the intersection with Cambridge Street.
A North Las Vegas outpost launched to huge crowds earlier this year and quickly ran out of ingredients on opening day.
