A Cajun and Creole Restaurant Closes in the Arts District While Another Expands to Boulder City

ARTS DISTRICT — Lola’s — A Louisiana Kitchen chef and owner Lola Pokorny says she permanently closed her original location in the Holsum Design Center in Downtown Las Vegas after finding it difficult to hire staff. BOULDER CITY — The Cornish Pasty Co. plans to open a second area location in the former Scratch House Restaurant space. Co-owner Richard Blankley says the restaurant should open in September or October since it does not require many renovations inside. The restaurant also has a location in the Arts District. DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN — Jing, the sushi restaurant with a party vibe, now has secret menus for industry night and ladies’ night. The It’s a Jing Thing industry night on Monday night inside the restaurant’s bar and lounge can order from a chef-curated secret menu with half-priced sushi and steak, Kobe beef hot rock, caviar, and more along with the full dinner menu. Rotating bottle and drink specials include $10 shots of Dos Artes Anejo Tequila and complimentary bottles of Champagne with the purchase of caviar.
